Greenleaf Village In 2002, Cienda Partners was instrumental in the development of Greenleaf Village, a mixed-income community built on the site of the old West Dallas housing projects. Greenleaf Village was a collaborative effort between Habitat for Humanity, the nation’s largest non-profit homebuilder, KB Home, one of the nation’s largest for-profit homebuilders, and the Dallas Housing Authority. More than 300 homes were built on the site, and the neighborhood continues to enhance the area, encouraging further residential and retail growth. The project, which has been studied by mayors and city councils from ten different cities, was awarded the Clarence Jordan Award from Habitat for Humanity International and was the setting for speaches by both presidential candidates during the 2004 election.
